| Why? Why? Why? |
Proverbs 25:2
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing....”
Based on Psalm 55:22 King James Version (KJV)
Based on Psalm 55:22 King James Version (KJV)
Do you ever ask the question Why, when things go from good to bad? If you are honest, you answered yes. We all do at times especially when we are hurting. It is normal and OK to ask questions when a hard circumstance comes into our lives. But, if we stay in the "Questioning" mode too long, we will progress, or rather digress, into a "Quibbling" mode. To quibble means
to raise a slight objection or critisim about a trivial matter. But in the spiritual realm, as opposed to the natural realm, there are no trivial matters. So, we often go from a legitimate questioning, to one of "quibblings" cousins or synonyms very quickly. A synonym is ...... a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase in the same language, for example shut is a synonym of close. Some of the synonyms (its cousins) for quibbling are;
to protest, query, argument, , moan, grumble, grouse, andeven to find fault. Satan loves nothing better than for us to quibble with God over something we find hard.
However, God calls us as believers to do what Psalm 55:22 says;
to protest, query, argument, , moan, grumble, grouse, andeven to find fault. Satan loves nothing better than for us to quibble with God over something we find hard.
However, God calls us as believers to do what Psalm 55:22 says;
22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. The Psalmist is saying that in his experience God will not allow us to be shaken or seperated from our trust and faith in God. The Holy Spirit wants us to know God will help us in our hard times. This promise is predicated on the fact that we actully do something contrary towhat is normal for us.
The word "cast" means "to roll over on". That something is to quickly "roll over our troubles onto Jesus, and leave them there. Why are we to roll them over onto Jesus? Because these burdens are too heavy for us to pick up, much less carry around with us for extended periods of time. Hence, we are at once, before satan has a chance to use them against us, give them to our Lord to deal with. If we dont leave our questioning, and quibbling mode, satan will most certainly use them to drive a wedge between us and our Heavenly Father. We must, no matter how difficult the circumstances turn our troubles over to the only one who can handle them properly, i.e. God. We may be facing sickness, family troubles, financial difficulties, job troubles, or any number of physical or spiritual hardships, but we must " roll them over onto Jesus, or they will, I say again, will weigh us down and wear us out. So much so that we can easily slip out of God's Will for us and into a questioning or an accusing spirit against the one who saved us and has promised also to sustain us.
Hebrews 7:25
And so he is able, now and always, to save those who come to God through him, because he lives forever to plead with God for them.
That word "plead" is the word "intercede". It is as a lawyer take up your defense in a trial. He is on your side and will do everything in his power to get you acquited. Only our lawyer is Jusus, The Christ, the one who shed His Blood to Save us, and now He is asking God to look upon you with favor because as His Son, He shed His own perfectly sinless Blood for you. Oh, how wonderful God has made for us a way of escape from our trials and temptations. He has promised that He would never put on us more than we can bear. In the Amplified Bible it says it this way; "
The Amplified Bible Classic Edition (AMPC)
"For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried andassayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently."
You see it is God whom we now are depending upon, to provide for us and not ourselves. That is always the way we can escape the heavy load. So, if we kept on our shoulders, the thing that is too hard for us,and within our human soul, it will surely defeat us. Yet, if we simply and completely roll it off of us, God will pick it up and provide a way out, and a way into faith and favor with Himself. You see, He, Jesus has already done it for us before;
Berean Study Bible
Surely He took on our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken by God, struck down and afflicted. Oh what a truely Awesome God we have.

Hebrews 4:16 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Instead of questioning, quibbling, and quitting, we are to quickly roll off of us, our hard trials, temptations, and troubles, onto Him. For He is able to work all things out for good. As Job so aptly put it; "
Job 13:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Trusting God is the only sensible and spiritual way to deal with our problems. He excells in solving them and making us more in His likeness in the process.
GE/The Holy Spirit
Prayer
Oh Lord help us to quickly and quietly give you our problems instead of our keeping them. Help us to trust and obey all that you tell us in your Word to do that it may go well with us, and bring you glory and praise to your name.
Amen
